Google- that big corporation trying to take over the world (what corporation isn't?) has done it again. This time not in mapping form. When we last left Google, I mentioned Google Earth (a very nifty program). Now, I'd like to introduce everyone to (drum roll)... Google Talk, Google's IM and voice service, allowing users to "call" each other.
I tried it this morning with my brother (who was in the room just next door, actually). It seemed to work pretty good. I think this IM service is probably limited in other capabilities compared to AIM and ICQ, but it's main focus is on the calling feature. I think the other services have audio chat features that probably work the same way, but it's still interesting to try out.

Area 51 can easily be found using Google Earth. I was surprised to find the satellite images of the Groom Lake facility (south of Racehl, Nevada) were actually fairly high resolution, considering that it's in the middle of the Nevada desert.
