I took this test about face recognition. These are my results:
Out of 20 target faces (ones you learned in the first part of this test), you correctly identified 7.
Out of 30 nontarget faces (ones that didn't learn in the first part of this test), you correctly responded that you had not seen 22 of them.
Overall, you got 58% correct. The average person with normal face recognition scores about 85% on this test. If you scored less than 75% on this test, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

As I walked out of the music building, I had a faceblind moment. Someone walking towards the building started talking to me, "Hey! How're you?" "Fine." "I haven't seen you in a while." I couldn't recognize the person, and probably put on a very odd face. "I've... been busy." We then concluded the conversation- luckily, we were headed in opposite directions. I haven't had too many faceblind moments lately, but this one seemed weird. I guess it was just the way he said he hadn't seen me in a while... as if he was expecting to see me around. I don't think it was any of my close friends. It was bizarre.
The only person I could think it might have been is one of my friend's ex-boyfriends. That wouldn't make much since, however. I didn't even know they had dated. It happened over winter break... and I found out after the breakup. I did know the guy in high school, but I don't think we were ever "friends." We knew each other, but that's all. If it was him, it was strange that he talked to me. Perhaps he knows that I'm friends with the girl he just broke up with and somehow it seemed like a good thing to do. People are weird. I think I'll just slip back into my room and stay locked in there for a while. Much more comfortable.
